About CoinKeep

CoinKeep turns your exchange and wallet exports into one reconciled record that you or your accountant can work from. It is built and run in Horsham, Victoria, by COINKEEP PTY LTD.

Why it exists

CoinKeep started with one person's own records. Punsisi Ramanayaka, a CPA with a background in audit and commercial accounting, had years of trades spread across exchanges and wallets, and every tool he tried either guessed at the gaps or handed back a spreadsheet that still needed weeks of work. So he built the tool he wanted: one that shows every transfer, every missing file and every unpriced coin, asks the questions an accountant would ask, and shows what is still unreconciled before anything is exported.

The first return CoinKeep produced was his own: about 75,000 transactions across 18 exchanges and wallets, reconciled end to end on the live product. Everything found along the way went back into the product.

What CoinKeep does

You upload the export files from your exchanges and wallets. CoinKeep:

reads files from 13 exchanges and wallets directly, and any other CSV through a custom mapping,
flags transfers between your own accounts, duplicates, missing files and coins without a price, so you can resolve them before you export,
matches disposals to acquisitions using FIFO (first in, first out),
produces a reconciled package (summary, realised gains, income, closing balances and the cleaned transactions) for you or your accountant.

What CoinKeep does not do

CoinKeep organises and reconciles records. It does not calculate your tax, lodge anything or give tax advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified accountant. The package is a starting point for your return, prepared the way an accountant would want to receive it.

You choose which files to upload. Your records are stored in Australia. What CoinKeep stores is set out in the Privacy Policy.
